Referring Physician Portal
Improve the level of service of referring physicians by providing them with online access to your RIS for clinical decision support tools, real-time exam status and detailed radiology reports.
The Referring Physician Portal gives referring physicians access to on-line ordering, rules-based scheduling and access to real-time exam status, radiology reports and images via a simple Web portal that does not require software downloads.
Radiology reports can be customized to the needs of your referring physicians, including the ability to automatically or manually insert key images, clinical history, technologist notes, supplies, technical protocol and the date/procedure of the last relevant prior.
A computerized physician order entry (CPOE) system is integrated with the Referring Physician Portal. The CPOE provides clinical decision support tools that utilize the ACR Appropriateness Criteria® to fulfill the ARRA’s Meaningful Use requirement to implement a decision support rule as well and simplify the exam pre-authorization process.
The Referring Physician Portal can be licensed separately from Sectra RIS and integrated with other systems.

The need to burn images and data on CDs for distribution is reduced which saves costs and facilitates keeping audit trails intact.
